I purchased a book last week by the title The Art of Unix Programming. Incidently , i was preparing for a talk on the paradox of Open Source Movement which the author ( Eric S. Raymond ) of the book is the primary force.
Every Programmer , Regardless of his platform should read the book. It chronichles the history , philosophy of the unixes and the strategic mistakes made by the Unix software industry. The Coverage of Open Source Movement is very informative. I liked the chapter on Mini Languages , Programming Languages and the IPC mechanisms very much.
